Eastbury pupils proved top of the class at the annual orough cross-country championships at Pages Wood.
The Barking School had a host of good results from year seven to sixth form.
And they saw Funmi Fadoju and William Pataca win individual races, while Elizabeth Thomas and Zayn Bux were runners-up and Jessica Coblah and Abdullahi Hashi were third.
Eastbury claimed top spot in the year seven girls’ competition, as well as first place in the year 10/11 girls’ and boys’ competitions.
And they were second in the year seven boys’ and sixth form boys’ events, while also finishing third in the sixth form girls’ race.
Those results ensured Eastbury took the overall team prize and PE teacher Lloyd Wood said: “In addition to winning the event, our sports leaders guided by Mr Swaby organised the whole event and maintained our exceptional reputation within the borough.”
