A series of charity services have helped raise more than £40,000 for a local hospice.
Families, volunteers and politicians joined together to remember loved ones at Saint Francis Hospice’s Light up a Life services.
About 1,200 people attended three services, including one at Dagenham and Redbridge Football Club on Sunday, December 13.
Glow sticks were waved and held aloft in a minute’s silence for those not present.
Barking and Dagenham Mayor Cllr Simon Bremner and the crowd, gathered in one of the stands, were also entertained by singers Josh Gleaves and Jessamy Stoddart – part of the cast of the West End production of Les Miserables.
