Commuters in east London and south Essex will face a series of disruptions over the next seven days due to engineering works across the c2c network.

Some services will be diverted while some stations will not be called at, affecting weekend journeys

Be sure to check out alternative routes, taking note of shuttle services and rail replacements in place.

Sunday October 13

Due to engineering works between Liverpool Street and Barking, c2c services will be diverted to Fenchurch Street, calling at West Ham but not at Stratford.

Due to engineering works between Basildon and Leigh-on-Sea, these services will start and terminate at Basildon.

Impacted stations include Basildon, Benfleet, Pitsea and Leigh-on-Sea.

A rail replacement service will be in operation between Basildon and Leigh-on-Sea. A train shuttle service will be in operation between Leigh-on-Sea and Shoeburyness.

Stations at Tilbury Town, East Tilbury and Stanford-le-Hope will also be impacted by this engineering work, as well as that between Stanford-le-Hope and Pitsea.

These services will start and terminate at Grays. Passengers for Tilbury Town, East Tilbury and Stanford-le-Hope should use Rainham line services.

Passengers requiring stations towards Southend should use rail replacement services between Stanford-le-Hope and Leigh-on-Sea.

A train shuttle will be in operation between Leigh-on-Sea and Shoeburyness.

Monday October 14 – Friday October 18

No planned engineering works

Saturday October 19

Due to engineering works between Fenchurch Street and Upminster, c2c services will be diverted between Barking and Upminster via an alternative route.

These services will be diverted to Liverpool Street, calling at Stratford but not at Limehouse or West Ham.

Passengers with a valid ticket can use Jubilee line services between Stratford and West Ham as well as DLR services between Tower Gateway, Limehouse, Stratford and West Ham.

These services will be extended to Shoeburyness, with services calling at Tilbury Town, East Tilbury, and Stanford-le-Hope, or Dagenham Dock, Rainham, and Purfleet.

Impacted stations include London Fenchurch Street, Barking and Upminster.

A train shuttle will run between Upminster and Pitsea via Laindon. Ticket acceptance will be available on District line services between Barking and Upminster.

A shuttle service will run between Upminster and Grays only, passengers should change at Grays for services towards London and Southend.

Passengers with a valid ticket can use District line services between Barking and Upminster.
