A teenager is in a stable condition after being stabbed near a supermarket car park.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 7:43pm on Thursday  (August 29) following reports of a stabbing in St Awdry’s Road, Barking.

A man, aged in his late teens, was taken to hospital.

His condition has been assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing, Scotland Yard said.

Footage shared to social media showed a police crime tape cordoning off the car park to the Lidl supermarket, with a police car stopped in the road. 

No arrests have been made.
