A man has been stabbed near a supermarket car park in Barking.
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were called to Ripple Road at 7.41pm yesterday (August 29) with reports of a stabbing.
Ambulance crews and an incident response officer were dispatched to the scene, and London's Air Ambulance flown out.
The charity is only called to help treat London's most seriously ill patients.
A man was discovered with injuries and was taken to a major trauma centre.
A spokesperson for LAS said: “We were called at 7.41pm on Thursday 29 August to reports of a stabbing incident in Ripple Road, Barking.
“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance.
“Our crews treated a man at the scene, before taking him to a London major trauma centre by road.”
Footage shared to social media has shown a police crime tape cordoning off the car park to the Lidl supermarket, with a police car stopped in the road.
The Metropolitan Police has confirmed it was called to St Awdry's Road, a short distance from the store.

The condition of the stabbed man is yet to be confirmed and no arrests have been made at this time.
