Barking Riverside dispersal zone set up by Met Police

The Metropolitan Police has confirmed it has put a dispersal zone in place as a result.

A S35 Dispersal Zone is in place for Barking Riverside. Any persons engaging in anti-social behaviour in this location can be directed to leave. This is due to a potential unlicensed event occurring.

The order grants police officers the power to direct anyone found to be engaging in anti-social behaviour in Barking Riverside to leave the zone.

It was first issued at 9pm yesterday (August 8) and will remain in place until 9pm on August 10. 

This shaded out zone will be under the order (Image: Google Maps/Metropolitan Police) A map shared to X shows the shaded area forming the dispersal zone which will be under the effect of the order. 

The Metropolitan Police has not confirmed the nature of the unlicensed event.
