Chadwell Heath’s chicken connoisseurs could be in store for a deep dose of cheekiness if a licensing application gets the green light.
Residents have reported seeing a notices that Nando’s Chickenland Limited has applied for a premises licence in Goodmayes Retail Park in Chadwell Heath.
According to Redbridge Council, the closing date for representations in support or objection to their licensing application closes on August 23.
So, if you are a champion of the chicken, or wish to launch a poultry protest, you had better get a move on!
A Nando’s spokesman said: “We know that there are a lot of PERi-PERi fans in Chadwell Heath and have been looking to open a new restaurant in the area for some time.
“The good news is that our new restaurant will open early next year and we can’t wait to start hosting people soon.”
In the meantime, Redbridge residents can get a flavour of Angola and Mozambique the borough’s existing branch in Ilford High Street.
