Police cadets have been out and about in the local area, helping to steward some major events.
The Barking and Dagenham Volunteer Police Cadets helped to marshal the Disability Rocks 2014 at Lambourne End Activity Centre, Havering, on June 28 and the Annual Armed Forces Day Parade in Ilford the next day.
Heather Mitchell, volunteer coordinator from Lambourne End said the cadets did an “excellent job” and helped make the day a “huge success for everyone who came”.
PC Amanda Miller, Redbridge youth engagement officer, said of the Armed Forces Day parade: “We all had a blast – even with the changeable weather, people enjoyed a fun, positive day.
“The cadets worked hard and made a positive impression on the organisers and event goers.”
Disability Rocks is a charitable organisation that helps develop new and innovative ways to help people living with disabilities have positive experiences of music and arts.
