Paperless visitor parking will be getting into gear from next week.
Virtual resident permits were introduced in December, but from Thursday paper-free permits will now replace traditional scratch card permits for visitors as well.
Any previously-bought scratch cards will be valid until the end of May next year.
To register your visitor you’ll need their vehicle registration number, the date they will be staying, how long they will be staying for and a credit or debit card.
PVPs can be purchased on Barking and Dagenham Council’s website or RingGo or on the RingGo app.
Those without access to the internet can visit the One Stop Shop, one of our libraries or community checkpoints where we will guide them through the process using self-service computers.
Only residents can buy visitor permits. Go to lbbd.gov.uk/residents/parking-travel-and-roads/ for more information.
