Meet the new Dagenham & Redbridge consortium that owns majority shares at the National League club.

The group of high-profile American have completed their purchase of the club after ongoing talks since Daggers pre-season friendly matches in July.

Victoria Road Football, LLC is now the majority shareholders of the club, while the club’s Full Members and directors Dave Bennett and Steve Thompson retain their holdings in the club.

LLC is a new company led by Peter B. Freund, Craig Unger and former Manchester United keeper and United States international Tim Howard.

Here is the background of all seven members that make up the new consortium.

Peter B. Freund: Freund is the Principal Owner of Trinity Sports Holdings, a portfolio company which owns and operates several professional sports teams and venues throughout North America and Europe.

Trinity Sports Holding’s portfolio includes interests in Major League Baseball’s New York Yankees and Minor League Baseball’s Memphis Redbirds, Charleston River Dogs and Williamsport Crosscutters.

Trinity Sports Holdings also boasts ownership of recently formed Memphis 901 Football Club, playing their football in the United Soccer League.

Craig Unger: The new director is president and part of the ownership group of the Memphis Redbirds and Memphis 901 Football Club.

Tim Howard: Howard is an American soccer legend, the most capped (120) and has the most wins (55) of any goalkeeper in US Soccer history, played in three World Cups, and holds the record for most saves by any goalkeeper in a game in World Cup history (16 against Belgium in 2014).

He also played thirteen seasons in the English Premier League including three at famed Manchester United and then a decade at Everton.

During that time, he won an FA Cup title, was named the Premier League Goalkeeper of the Year, and became one of the most beloved players in Everton history.

The 39-year-old started his career in the MLS with the New York Metrostars and returned to MLS in 2016 with the Colorado Rapids.

He is captain of the Rapids team and has been honoured as an MLS All-Star, All-League, and Humanitarian of the Year award-winner.

Howard was diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome in middle school and, in addition to his on-field accomplishments; he is leading advocate for those with the condition, volunteering countless hours to Tourette’s-related causes.

Dan Schwab: He serves as co-president (with his brother Michael) of D&H Distributing located in Harrisburg, PA D&H is a privately-held, family and employee-owned company with offices in the US and Canada, with current sales of more than $4 billion.

Michael Schwab: Along with his brother Dan, he serves as co-president of D&H Distributing located in Harrisburg, PA. Amy Silfen: Amy is recently retired from her position as a general manager at AT&T.

She currently serves as CEO of Data Solutions Central, a certified women-owned business selling technology products to resellers that require minority sourcing in support of public sector entities.

Mark Butler: Mark is the Founder of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Holdings, Inc.

He has been the chief executive officer and president of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Holdings, Inc. since 2003 and has been its Chairman since February 2005.

Butler has been an owner of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Inc. since 1982 and has been its President and Chief Executive Officer since August 2003.
