THE DEATH of a 21-year-old Dagenham man who crashed a car while being pursued by police has been ruled a "tragic accident".
On Monday, February 18 Walthamstow Coroners Court recorded a verdict of accidental death in relation to the death of John "Muzzy" Musgrove.
Mr Musgrove, from Monmouth Road, had been chased by a police vehicle from Rom Valley Way, Romford, to the border of Dagenham at around 1.30am on October 30, 2006.
The chase came to a deadly conclusion at the junction of Wood Lane and Wisdon Close when the blue Ford Mondeo Musgrove was driving span out control and careered off the road into a small brick wall and a street sign.
The ferocious impact woke many residents near Wisdon Close and left Mr Musgrove with fatal injuries.
