Marjorie J. McCaskey (nee Smith) Died peacefully on October 5, 2015 at the age of 90 in Camarillo, California, USA where she had lived for 50 years. Born in Kent, England, Marjorie lived with her parents in Bexleyheath graduating from Northumberland Heath Girls School and Upton College. Marjorie commuted by train daily to London where she was employed by the U.S. State Department and later the U.S. War Department. In January 1946 as one of several British employees, she relocated with the organization to Germany later becoming Secretary to the Commander at Darmstadt Military Post. In October 1948 she married Raymond McCaskey in Coburg, Germany. She received her U.S. citizenship in 1953. Raymond predeceased her in 2002 after 53 years of marriage. Marjorie stayed active in her later years, enjoying weekly bridge games and occasional travel. She was buried next to her beloved husband "Mac" at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo, California, USA.
