Barking Road Runners continue to take on virtual runs with the first race in their Handicap series.
Thirty-nine members of the club took part in that run and they had between February 1 and 6 to complete a 5k and upload their time.
The runners' handicaps are set according to their times in last year’s series and those that didn’t compete last year and never had a handicap used this race to set a time.
The series consists of seven races, with the best five to count. The winner of each race gets 100 points, second place gets 99, third 98 and so on.
Natalie Traylen bagged top spot and 100 points with a time of 24:25. In second place was Charlotte Owen (26:01), and third went to Ron Vialls (22:41).
Seven runners bettered their handicap times and will have new handicaps for race number two, making it a little tougher.
It was an excellent turnout as usual and a good race for the ladies as they filled four of the top six places.
