A man has been assaulted and robbed in the early of hours of morning in Barking.
Met Police were called at 2.03am today (February 28) to Station Parade after the man was allegedly struck over the head with an object and had his cash stolen.
An investigation has been launched by the police to trace the suspect, whom the police have described as a black male in his early to late 20s.

He is also said to have short, braided hair and was wearing a black jacket.
No arrests have been made so far and enquiries by officers are ongoing.
The AA has reported that Station Parade has been closed both ways between Ripple Road and Cambridge Road following the crime.
Buse routes EL1, EL2 and EL3 have a detour in operation.
